HCA Students Win Second Place in Vianney Decathlon

Decathlon winners

On Monday, October 5, 10 students attending Holy Cross Academy's Annunciation campus competed in the annual Vianney Decathlon.

Teams representing 25 Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of St. Louis participated in the event.

Our team of 10 students competed in Math, History/Social Studies, Science and Technology.

HCA students placed second overall in the competition!

This is a very proud moment for these students, their families, our pastors, HCA staff and faculty, and the Academy.

This achievement demonstrates the strength and passion all Academy teachers, from preschool through grade eight, have for their profession. Day in and day out, they prepare our students, academically and spiritually, to meet the challenges of Catholic Christian life in the 21st century.

A large congratulatory banner, provided by St. John Vianney High School, will be in place at our Annunciation campus sometime in early November.

Congratulations to these students and their parents!

May God continue to bless the HCA community!
