School Bus Driver

HCA is seeking a professional school bus driver to transport our students from campus to campus. You will be responsible for transporting HCA students to 4 different campuses. There are also opportunities to transport students and staff on field trips.

School bus driver duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide students with a safe environment on the school bus.
  • Monitor students on the bus.
  • Maintain a clean and safe bus.
  • Developing relationships with faculty, staff, and students.

  • Ensure compliance with school bus laws.

Other Information:

  • Ability to move from campus to campus.
  • This is an hourly position, 3-4 hours a day, 5 days a week.
  • Work days/hours are from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. from August to May when school is in session.

Curriculum Coordinator 

The Curriculum Coordinator at Holy Cross Academy must be a practicing Catholic passionate about fostering, developing, and evaluating, a high-spirited, progressive learning environment that supports the health, welfare, safety, and spirit of, our students and faculty. This person is responsible for providing instructional leadership across subject areas. Position objectives include studying, evaluating, and implementing research-based curriculum and instruction; providing leadership in the development, articulation, and implementation of an instructional program; improving the instructional program by assisting with program evaluation; and assisting in coordinating relevant staff development.

Duties & Responsibilities

As an Educational Leader:

  • Cultivates developmentally appropriate school philosophy, goals, and curriculum.
  • Directs and provides opportunities for professional growth/evaluation of faculty and staff.
  • Demonstrates one’s experience, enthusiasm, and thorough understanding of current best practices for instructional methodology, pedagogy of children, classroom management and multi-learning styles for children, and knowledge of best practices in educational administration.
  • Encourages a collaborative learning environment.
  • Is student-focused and nurtures a caring and inclusive school environment.
  • Communicates with faculty and staff regularly and in a joyful, supportive manner.
  • Collaborates with all HCA principals, educators, staff and principals and educators throughout the region and within the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
  • Ensures that the Archdiocesan Unified Standards are followed.

As Curriculum Coordinator:

  • Serves as a resource person in curriculum and instruction across subject areas and grade levels. 
  • Displays excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with our administration, faculty, and staff effectively.
  • Provides leadership to ensure compliance with state and Archdiocesan guidelines.
  • Develops, coordinates, and monitors the program of instruction for academic programs and oversees updates of the curriculum.
  • Provides input for the teaching and learning budget
  • Previews new instructional materials and arranges for piloting by teachers.
  • Studies and evaluates new instructional techniques for possible use by classroom teachers.
  • Assists in the evaluation of academic programs, grading and assessment, and their effect on student achievement. 
  • Leads and coordinates staff development.
  • Assists teaching staff with the implementation of curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Develops and implements follow-up plans for curriculum revisions and instructional materials adoptions. 
  • Assists in the selection of all instructional materials. 
  • Communicates and coordinates in partnership with community groups and organizations.
  • Works with building principals and teams to develop and implement the school improvement process (data analysis, goal setting, action plans, etc). 
  • Assists with coordination of instructional support for new teachers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree or its equivalent in Curriculum and Instruction or someone in the process of a Leadership Certification
  • Five years of demonstrated success in teaching
  • Commitment to a Catholic philosophy of education

Administrative Assistant to the Director of Early Childhood

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greeting parents and other individuals who arrive at school 
  • Answering the phone, routing calls, and taking messages 
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, spreadsheets, and creating signage for building areas
  • Compiling reports accurately and efficiently 
  • Maintaining confidentiality with employee and family information 
  • Proficiency with student information systems (FACTS) 
  • Inputting immunizations and health information in FACTS working with nurse 
  • Creating and maintaining student and employee files and records 
  • Typing memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents 
  • Create and maintain family profiles in the Brightwheel online app 
  • Ordering, organizing office supplies, and managing distribution to staff
  • Creating an inviting office area and bulletin boards 
  • Welcoming visitors and following procedures to ensure building protocols and safety
  • Maintaining and updating records that relate to both pupils and staff members
  • Administering First Aid and assisting children when sick and the nurse is not present
  • Distributing medicine according to Archdiocesan policies and procedures
  • Assisting the Business Manager as needed with keeping financial records
  • Creating daily student attendance and lunch reports 
  • Maintaining office equipment, tools, and work areas (e.g. copy machine, printer, laminator, and other office equipment) to ensure an efficient and safe working environment and the availability of items within a specific time frame 
  • Maintaining building safety inspections and AED 
  • Helping execute emergency and safety plans including working with emergency personnel when at school and viewing security cameras 
  • Working with other campus administrative assistants to complete Academy projects
  • Ongoing training on computer programs, health procedures, CPR, and medication administration or other systems as needed 
  • Attending after-school meetings, training, or completing other assigned duties
  • Ability to physically move throughout the building, assist in the cafeteria, playground, or other areas when needed, and attend to children 
  • Other duties as assigned
