3rd Grade Teacher

Holy Cross Academy - Intermediate Campus is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, faith-filled individual to teach 3rd grade for the 2026-2027 school year. This position requires a close partnership with the other 3rd grade homeroom teacher. Successful candidates will be flexible, committed to differentiated instruction, familiar with standards based grading and teaching for mastery, and able to deliver creative, hands-on learning activities for students. 

Candidates must be able to collaborate with other faculty members, have excellent classroom management, and have effective communication skills. A commitment to providing both high quality academic instruction and intentional faith formation within a school community is needed.

Middle School Math/Science Teacher

The Math/Science Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, standards-based instruction in middle school mathematics while supporting the mission and values of Holy Cross Academy. This position collaborates closely with colleagues, families, and administration to foster a positive, rigorous learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Teach middle school mathematics and science (grades 6–8, as assigned)
  • Plan and implement lessons aligned with diocesan standards
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
  • Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
  • Integrate technology and hands-on learning strategies
  • Maintain a positive, faith-centered classroom culture
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
  • Support and model Catholic values in all interactions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Education, or a related field (required)
  • Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification (preferred)
  • Experience teaching middle school mathematics and/or science (preferred)
  • Practicing Catholic preferred; respect for and commitment to Catholic teachings required
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty and staff

School Nurse

The Part-Time School Nurse at Holy Cross Academy provides health services to support the physical, emotional, and social well-being of students and staff in a faith-centered educational environment. This role promotes student health and safety, manages health-related needs during the school day, and supports the mission of the school through compassionate care and professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid, illness assessment, and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in compliance with school, diocesan, and state regulations.
  • Manage student health plans, including care for chronic conditions, allergies, and medical accommodations.
  • Monitor immunization records and ensure compliance with state and school requirements.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student health concerns, injuries, and medical needs.
  • Collaborate with faculty, administration, and support staff to promote a safe and healthy school environment.
  • Provide health education resources and guidance to students and staff as appropriate.
  • Implement infection control procedures and support wellness initiatives.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness planning and response.
  • Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional nursing practices at all times.
  • Support the Catholic mission and values of Holy Cross Academy through respectful conduct and service.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (required).
  • Prior experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or community health (preferred).
  • Knowledge of child development, health education, and emergency care procedures.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Commitment to supporting the mission and Catholic identity of Holy Cross Academy.
