HELPING NEIGHBORS Starts at Home

Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international Catholic lay organization dedicated to providing person-to-person service to all in need right here at home.  The “Mini-Vinnies” is open to seventh grade students and meets from 2:40-3:30 once a month. During the meetings, the students make sandwiches for the poor, write greeting cards to shut-ins and prisoners, and learn about St. Vincent de Paul.  They are also encouraged to participate in the “Friends of the Poor” Walk and serve meals to the homeless downtown. Senior citizens from sponsoring parishes lead the Mini-Vinnies for Holy Cross Academy.
